I believe in Canada, deaconesses were simply deemed to be deacons when the ordination of women was approved. I’m curious to know what the rite was for a woman to become a deaconess prior to that looked like, and if it did involve the laying on of hands.

I have noticed that no one ever wants to discuss race or gender or religion when confronted with the fact that the vast majority of mass shootings are committed by white cisgendered straight men who identify as Christian.
