I worked at a vet clinic for four years. My soul cat, Artemis, was elderly and had health issues, so she was there a lot. When it was time to say goodbye, it comforted both of us that her last moments were in a familiar exam room with me and her favorite tech and vet, who cared about her and me.

I'll also mention again that if you love little baby kittens, most shelters and rescues are always in need of foster homes for them! Different ages of kittens require different levels of care, so there's some options usually. And it's a great way to enjoy the cute without adding to the population. ❤️

Especially in cases like this, where it seems they had a Clear Vision for what they wanted the background to look like, and made the effort to type that Clear Vision as a prompt. Too bad both vision and generated image really, really suck.

It’s a boudoir photo of a curvy black lady in sleek black mesh, and I can tell it’s meant to be very dramatic and glamorous. An abstract, textured background would look so much better.

Alas, most photographers I work with do not take kindly to even the most respectful suggestions.

So, I’m editing and painting a photo, and I’m pretty sure the background is genAI. But, like, why? It’s dingy white clapboard and an asymmetrical window with mismatched curtains. Could they really not take the time to find better stock?

I’m sure this isn’t a perfect across-the-board recommendation, but it works for people like me who A. are prone to overworking, getting burned out, and beating ourselves up if we’re not being “productive,” and B. don’t get super competitive, stressed, or aggressive about games.

A beautiful story! So glad there are kitties in your life to spread grace and love.

When I was younger and struggling, I had a cat named Artemis. She was my best friend and sidekick through multiple cross-country moves, mental health crises, and heartbreaks. She kept me going!

My therapist prescribes more video games.

She says they’re a great way to recharge when you’ve been expending a lot of emotional energy and you’re feeling drained. Much healthier than doomscrolling or watching TV.

Her go-to is Elder Scrolls Online. She collects horses and decorates houses.
