Been down a rabbit hole last month.A brave new world got me in a neck clinch. An aggressive and intrusive body search when visiting the H O.C. to see @labourlewis.bsky.social deliver his water bill traumatized me and BT cut my landline. I couldn't be heard by 999 as my chimney caught fire.Progress??

Just watched @labourlewis.bsky.social's powerful speech on his Water Bill, raising the fundamental question that’s been ignored for too long: who should own our water?

It’s time to bring water back into public hands.

My son bought me mine, a surprise birthday present a couple of years ago..even included friends to construct it and got contributions from family and pals.I'd been away. He knows I always go into the garden so filmed me and caught my surprise. Got excellent cucumbers that year, zilch the next.

Haha, I think when it comes to gardening being grumpy is forgivable. I had great courgette and squash flowers. Not one single fruit.
Beans were okish. Going to persevere with beans, carrots, tats, snips, herbs and toms.

I had very slow germination, I managed to nurture one chilli which is ripening now! Cucumbers refused. Carrots were my best crop. I think I have a good frog and toad population so pests, including slugs, were absent.

The experiment they call gardening is even more precarious with climate change. Today I planted my first seeds of the season. 4 Tomatoes inside a cold greenhouse.

Wow. Watching Dylan part 2 by Scorcese BBC4. Memory jogged big time. Seeing an artist or performer the question always was -

Did they have anything to say?.

How times have changed.

First hand accounts have been so crucial over the decades. When will the world truly learn the lessons of the holocaust.
On this 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, I think of Rudolf Vrba, one of only a handful of Jews ever to escape the camp - who did it to warn the world. I told his story when I was a guest on the brilliant Rest is History podcast. You can hear that here open.spotify.com/episode/1Ezd...
