Five years ago (Tuesday 31 Dec 2019), the news of cases of pneumonia in Wuhan was out. The Wuhan Municipal Health Commission published a bulletin confirming the outbreak.

Less information than was already available at the time was shared: ▫️1/

Someone needs to do a study on the impact #rstats Shiny has had on public health communication. Nearly every presentation at #tropmed24 with a dashboard, had one that was a Shiny.

Hear me out, instead of a Quarto website (which I love), a custom rust static site generator that takes my qmds and jmds. With Go code to parse some some of my Obsidian markdown notes. Along with a Sqlite powered, in-browser search function... id3es.com

Great thread! Just taking the time to write down ideas is a major step in intellectual development (especially as soon as they come to mind...for some reason while brushing my teeth). Then flesh them out later.
As always the first thing is to just start practising. Spend some time trying to think of original ideas and write them down. You won't get to "do" all the projects, but you can look back a week/month later and assess which ideas were good or not. 2/n

Registering all 20,000+ packages will still take a few more days. But the first couple of thousand are already live. Example:
