Stayed in Houffalize at the big hotel there for several weeks while we excavated a B-26 crash site in the area for DPAA. I frequently would walk or run up to that CWGC plot for that Lancaster crew.

Unidentified WWI soldier exhumed from Wausau cemetery as agencies work to identify man
The veteran died by suicide in 1930 and left a note that did not contain his name. He was buried with military honors in Pine Grove Cemetery in Wausau.

Only stumbled upon it a few years ago and it has been a yearly listen for me.

Last year I listened to it on Christmas night in a dense fog while walking around the airfield at work…talk about ambiance fitting the occasion…😮
