This in-game exhibit is based on a real phenomenon, as can be seen in the picture below. Although not preserved in honey, this solitary bee (species Ctenoplectrella viridiceps) was kept in pristine condition for millions of years thanks to the amber - a form of fossilised resin - surrounding it!

Two Point Museum is a game that came out earlier this month, and it has made for an excellent addition to the series! The game is mostly focused on dinosaurs and plants, but there are a few bugs to spot - like this ‘honeyed bee’. 🐝
