Some countries are more exposed than others to USA but in the end Europe will also manage.

But a USA that is turning inward leads Europe to not having a choice at all actually. We will have to manage…without. And we will. We are 500 million people.

NATO crumbles perhaps and it WILL be replaced.

Today, the link is starting to crack. It is true what you say that trade and cultural exchange is immense between Europe and USA. 100% we will spend LESS vacations in USA for the foreseeable future. USA will survive this. Europe will take a larger hit short term regarding the trade deficit.

Nobody is talking about it much but it is a gift to Europe as well! GOP/Trump forces Europe to develop great military powers and new alliances.

In the end, GOP/Trump is going to make USA weaker and Europe much stronger.

We are living in historic times. EU bloc should hastily start discussions also with UK, Norway, Switzerland in all sectors to further bolster European trade agreements.

I hope work started in 2022.

Europe also needs to have a military force as strong as the US. This will take a long time. #mega

This is what a power vacuum looks like. 🤷🏼‍♂️

What the chart does NOT show is that Europe is also a guest at the party. China may be up but Europe is also gaining if we do it right. A weaker USA means a stronger Europe. It is unavoidable.

How this is strategically sound policy from GOP eludes me.#mega

Europe has only one option. And it was clear from the start when Pootins rapid invasion plans collapsed into attrition warfare as in WWI. A new cold war era has started. Russia is not backing down. So, sanctions and MASSIVE increase in military capabilities controlled by Europe.

Another one of those early Fridays in 2026 and I am sure USA got something in store for us this time as well.

Although Trump has permanently damaged the transatlantic link now it will make Europe stronger when it is all over.

That makes USA weaker.

Europe should calm down. There is no rush. USA has left the building sort of and wants to trade with, well, itself. They may. But strategically its a death sentance in a hypercapitalistic world. Trump has brought China closer to Europe. Trump will result in a much stronger Europe. #mega

Some reflection. There has been zero change in Russias maximalist demands on Ukraine.

Nothing has happened.

The dual nature of the war, attrition warfare and strikes on energy infrastructure will continue.

I don’t see a change at all actually.

Europe will contiue increasing its abilities. #mega

Ah, Qatar. A bastion for white, christian and democratic values.

Follow the money.

Musk caves.

He’s going to really, really hate this.

A victory for the EU and the UK.

Ok. I mean, someone in the whole USA must kind of think this must be done. I really don’t understand how USA is working. What about the state? The state must be able to file against the federal government?

A lot of Europeans now that do not understand this. 🤷🏼‍♂️

No matter what, there is lot of joy and wisdom in reading Dilbert. A great addition to the world. I think we can manage to keep two things in our heads simultaneously. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yes. Pootin is effectively cutting them off a 500 million people market. It is inevitable even after a cease-fire in Ukraine. The sooner the Russians understands this the better. The ONLY way they will know is if things go bad in Ukraine for Russia and things worsen in Russia for Russians. #mega

As several other already said this is not enough. Secondary and tertiary sanctions are coming. But we need to start somewhere. Frankly, it is very hard. But Europe needs time to re-arm.

This will take a long time.

Excellent! Long overdue. It is clear that the current regime in Iran is sponsoring terror on this planet. Europe should state clearly just that in as many way possible. Ban iranians as well of entering EU. They are for sure a threat to European security. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Europe is doing the same. We’re 500 million people.

We’re open for fair business and we might have a thing or two to say about non-democratic values.

I think Canada is going to do great!

Can’t anyone just sue him? I don’t understand. He’s getting away with murder? Federal ”police” can now murder anyone and walk free despite massive evidence? 🤷🏼‍♂️

A much unsafer and more chaotic world will cause much more pain than just ”discomfort” for the citizens of the world travelling by plane.

The important question is not to build a sovereign defence in Europe or not. We should and we will. The question is if it should be governed by EU or the member states of such a alliance. Both approaches have pros and cons. #mega
