Yes. Pootin is effectively cutting them off a 500 million people market. It is inevitable even after a cease-fire in Ukraine. The sooner the Russians understands this the better. The ONLY way they will know is if things go bad in Ukraine for Russia and things worsen in Russia for Russians. #mega

As several other already said this is not enough. Secondary and tertiary sanctions are coming. But we need to start somewhere. Frankly, it is very hard. But Europe needs time to re-arm.

This will take a long time.

Excellent! Long overdue. It is clear that the current regime in Iran is sponsoring terror on this planet. Europe should state clearly just that in as many way possible. Ban iranians as well of entering EU. They are for sure a threat to European security. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Europe is doing the same. We’re 500 million people.

We’re open for fair business and we might have a thing or two to say about non-democratic values.

I think Canada is going to do great!

Can’t anyone just sue him? I don’t understand. He’s getting away with murder? Federal ”police” can now murder anyone and walk free despite massive evidence? 🤷🏼‍♂️

A much unsafer and more chaotic world will cause much more pain than just ”discomfort” for the citizens of the world travelling by plane.

The important question is not to build a sovereign defence in Europe or not. We should and we will. The question is if it should be governed by EU or the member states of such a alliance. Both approaches have pros and cons. #mega

As a European… he roams freely still? He is still not arrested? What?

I think you are wrong when we talk about the necessary capabilities that we are planning to have. In addition, material does not guarantee capabilities. You need to know how. A lot of countries have been dismantling their military since the wall fell. It's not an easy thing to rebuild quickly. 🤷‍♂️

The thing is that the world is now going into a period of decades where this will be the main subject. USA has de facto removed itself as the world leader with Trump and the current GOP makes no excuses either. It's the GOP way or nothing.

Some people won't survive? Countries will perish. 🤷‍♂️
January 11, 2026 at 7:29 AM
Well, with Trump et al. the new world arrived fast! The bad thing is that that world is what dictators want. What Russia wants. What Iran wants. It is the multi-polar narrative as Pootin states it (and others with him).

The strong survives.

Europe will become much stronger. USA will weaken. #mega

How much is that?
January 10, 2026 at 7:28 PM
It is happening and it has been happening since February 2022 when Russia invaded Ukraine. It has been accelerated by the recent events in USA.

It is important to make the distinction between EU and Europe. #mega

I _was_ thinking the same thing. 😀

That is what I am saying! Europe is a sleeping giant. 👍 #mega

I don't get it. USA runs Venezuela now?

How? There is not a single soldier on the ground. How can you run a completely different country remotely. Honest question.

I think EU should be permissive. A LOT have changed since the referendum. I think it is both in EU countries interests and all other European nations that the British is highly integrated with EU and all European countries.

I think the British should also allow themselves to be self-critical. #mega

Wow. The Vice President of the United States of America.

Has the shooter been arrested yet?

Well. Agreed on the path of Europe but if the article references for instance, the Office365 suite of applications, they have a point. Even if the bits are stored in datacenter in Europe it's still very much US tech. And it is actually now becoming a problem. But, I think Europe will build it too. ☺️

Honest question. Is it or is it not illegal for people that are operatives working in an official role, i.e. "ICE agents" here, to be masked? A lot of them are and I can understand why they do it.

But is it illegal? Is it different laws in different states? 🤔

If Europe/EU would have massive military capabilities, along with its economic might, perhaps world leaders would listen to us.

I think Europe is starting to realise this.

Europe is stuck now between a rock and a hard place. It will try and get out of that situation by all means.
