A third immigrant held at Camp East Montana has died, reportedly by suicide. Victor Manuel Díaz was detained in Minnesota. He is the sixth migrant to die since Jan. 1 in ICE detention.

Noem's claim is FALSE. Here is ICE's own data on the detention population among those arrested by ICE:

- 43% no criminal record (up from 6% at the start of the year),
- 29% at least one prior conviction*
- 28% at least one pending charge

*most common are traffic and immigration offenses.

On Monday, an NPR reporter witnessed multiple instances where immigration agents questioned people about their immigration status.

All of them were people of color. All of them were able to prove they were in the U.S. legally after showing documentation.
