I was poor for a lot of my life. And so as everyone who’s poor or struggling in capitalism knows, it is the small treats. When they yell at us for spending on the avocado toast, I go the opposite way. I say, You’re working like a dog, you’re underpaid. Get the avocado toast. What’s the point?
