They are lucky to have you as advocate. The system is awful.

Our caseworker once asked my mother to sign a long document. A stroke had left her unable to read, and when Mom said she wouldn't sign something she hadn't read, the caseworker got snotty, said, "You did go to college, didn't you?"

Medicaid used to date their financial inquiries so it was impossible to answer the query in time.
They cut her off 3 years in a row. Right up until I got Legal Aid involved, then they quit doing that. Things that make you go "hmmmm..."
