I only write 3 types of stories

1. The sappiest ooey gooey fluff
2. Crack taken seriously, albeit humorously
3. Gut-punching angst with a happy ending

Most of my stories the past year in the 1 and 2 camps are side tangents to take a break from the angsty longfic

When your thematic throughline was intentionally made to foil the protagonist, and the conclusions of your character arcs complement each other. When the mangaka knew from day 1 of drafting time skip you'd be on the same team.
