What a difference a week makes! After one of the warmest Christmas weeks on record, a cold front drops temps considerably to start the last week of 2025 before returning to near average for the start of 2026. Chilly but dry for NYE activities!

9:05pm - Only Marshall County is left until the leading edge of showers clears area. Rain will move out of the greater metro by 10pm. It will be breezy and temps will fall overnight, but roads will be ice-free. /ER

Colder air has finally arrived! Lows in the morning will be near 30°, with highs only reaching near 40°. It will be sunny and breezy with gusts of up to 25mph. Temps might feel much colder because of the wind. If heading out tomorrow, make sure to bundle up! 🥶

8:30pm - The leading edge of this line of showers is exiting Shelby County and is continuing to move through the metro. Gusts of 40-50mph are still possible. The back edge of showers will move over the metro for the next hour. /ER

8:00pm Radar shows the line of heavy rain now crossing the metro with gusts of 40+ mph along and just behind the line and showers continuing for about 30 minutes or so, then ending. Wind gusts of 30+ continue into the night.

7:30pm - Wind is starting to increase along and behind the line of showers as it crosses the river. Gusts of up to 50mph are now possible. The line should be making its way out by about 9pm. /ER

7pm Showers are entering the metro and will continue to move through from 7:30 to 9pm. This line marks an end to the warm weather and will make temps feel more like winter! Gusty winds of 35-45mph remain possible as the line moves through. /ER

This was our last day with unusually warm weather! Temps rose to the low 70s accompanied by windy conditions. Bartlett broke its record high temp at 73°, while Memphis missed tying their record by only 1°. Colder air will arrive soon! /ER

6:00pm Our cold front, with a snake-like line of heavy showers, is in central AR and looks to be along the I-40 corridor about 8pm. Gusty mild winds continue ahead of it... falling temps and gusty cold wind behind! Gusts to 40 mph will be possible.

It is windy with temps near 73° and highs reaching 74°. Current gusts are 30-35mph! Isolated showers are possible later this afternoon, but showers and gusty winds of up to 40mph become likely with a cold front around 7pm-8pm. (3pm-1am shown)/ER

Ahead of a major cold front this evening, one more day of warm weather is on tap. It'll be dry through around sunset, but very windy with some PM gusts near 40 mph as temps reach the mid 70s. Expect evening rain with the front, then temps plummet. Monday will be sunny & 40°.

Tomorrow is the last day of unusually warm weather! Lows will be in the low 60s, with highs in the mid 70s. It will be windy with a slight chance of showers late in the afternoon, but showers become likely in the late evening with the passage of a cold front. /ER

Overcast conditions prevented temps from reaching the 70° mark today, but we came close with temps in the upper 60s. Some of the metro saw sporadic drizzle, but nothing measurable. Expect slightly warmer temps tomorrow. /ER

It is quite a dreary looking day with overcast skies and some drizzle. Temps are currently in the upper 60s and will remain constant. Cloud cover sticks around this evening and into tonight with temps staying mild in the mid 60s. Enjoy the warmth while it lasts./RB

There's something for everyone the next few days! A couple more days of unusually warm weather, followed by a Sunday evening Arctic cold front that brings rain and then drops the bottom out of the temperatures! For today, be aware of dense fog early this morning!

Wonderful outdoor conditions are expected tomorrow, but we will near record high temps. Lows will be near 60°, with highs in the mid 70s by afternoon. Areas of fog will be present early tomorrow morning, but the afternoon will be partly sunny with a gentle breeze. ☀️/ER

Unusually warm weather continues to stick around the metro with temps in the low 70s. Cloudy conditions dominated the day, but clouds are starting to clear. If you aren't a fan of the warmer weather, a cooldown is expected in the coming days! /ER

After a cloudy start to the day, cloud coverage is decreasing in western parts of the metro, with the entire metro expected to be clear by this evening. Temps remain well above average, currently in the low 70s with gusty winds. Expect mid to upper 60s for any evening plans. /MM
