Tinkering with the Godot code today instead of doing my taxes.

I also gave it a suitably dad-pun rename:

CAN. NOT. WAIT. First ever co-design with the amazing Brett J. Gilbert (and 48,237th co-design with the similarly awesome @trevormbenjamin.bsky.social). Also my first collaboration with @mightyboards.bsky.social, and it's been fantastic.

Apparently, M’Quve is also ready.

(Seriously, Gundam 0079 can get very… odd?)
A still image from Gundam 0079 Episode 36 showing two men. The standing man reports, “Sir! It’s ready.”
The sitting man is cupping a phallic sculpture in his lap.

A screenshot from World of Warcraft. An extremely large cluster of pink haired Gnomes from World of Warcraft wearing tabards of the same color with a white heart and white trim, as well as a few other races from the game are seen riding the tram that travels between Ironforge and Stormwind City in the game. A handful of pink haired Gnomes from World of Warcraft as well as a rainbow lounge chair can be seen as they approach a checkered racing flag in the distance. An extremely large cluster of pink haired Gnomes from World of Warcraft wearing tabards of the same color with a white heart and white trim are gathered in front of a racing goal for the Great Gnomergan Run in Elywnn forest. An extremely large cluster of pink haired Gnomes from World of Warcraft wearing tabards of the same color with a white heart and white trim are gathered on the roof of the Booty Bay bank, as well as in the water of the city.

More Gnomes can be seen in the background running along the paths to the area where the Gnomes are gathered at the finish line. The Gnomes are celebrating with pink and purple boats in the water, and on the roof gnomes are using rainbow toys, tents, and setting off colored rockets including pink ones.

The in game town has a piratey vibe. There is a building that is part of a ship, and other building parts are made up of organic tropical tree materials like palm trees, and have the architecture that one would expect from a location on the water where fishing is a primary source of revenue, in a tropical island or alongside the coast in a tropical setting. Some of the walkways criss cross in a haphazard way and are on multiple levels and the gnomes in the background are walking on all of them. The weather in the screenshot is very bright and sunny, and the water is clear and blue allowing people to see under the water some distance and see Gnomes swimming under the water.

Hey @gilarpgs.bsky.social, I'm back. And I'm back on my 7 day, let's-get-this-game-out-there thing.

On the right, Bagration has made the mistake of pushing 2 artillery to the approach without any other units in support. He is about to lose them and the entire location when the enemy takes advantage of his (my) stupidity.

(Napoleon’s Triumph by Rachel Simmons.)
On a board, red and blue wooded sticks representing armies are fighting the battle of Austerlitz. Some of the sticks are pushed up against each other. This is a board wargame.

Thank you @vangamegarden.bsky.social !

This event is such a ray of goodness in our world.

My chibi-artist and I had a great time visiting and hope to run our own booth there next year.
On a black table top is placed a plethora of stickers, postcards, and bookmarks from many, many indie games.

No private corporation is going to spend billions on a project they can’t profit from.

Government not only exists to take on projects in the public interest that would not directly create profit, but also to do things PEOPLE want instead of corporations.

Leviathan Wilds, it’s very good. I don’t want to stop playing.
I will be pushing this on the family to tackle this weekend but first I must play through all the characters and classes…

(I should note that I play 2-handed solo instead of using the solo rules.)
On a green felt covered table, a spiral bound book is opened and dice are on it. The illustration on the book spreads over both pages and depicts a giant monster. Cards are arrayed around the book.
This is a boardgame.

Often when our list of Adobe alternatives is shared people comment that it's okay to pirate Adobe software. It's not, because that still supports Adobe through usage and staying in their ecosystem. Instead, do look into alternatives!

I would like to say that Rupert Murdoch is an awful person who has contributed almost more than anyone to the collapse of democracy. And I'm saying that now b/c I likely won't be allowed to say it when he dies.

Played La Famiglia last night. A strictly four player (2v2) area control Euro with a mafia theme.
Three hours to play but it was a good flow of action.

Not a theme I am interested in but the game play is solid.

¡Ay! Santísima Trinidad, such a chonker that even your counter stack is huge. (She had more guns than any other ship of the Age of Sail.)

Near her, Héros has struck and Redoutable is aflame.

(Flying Colors by @gmtgames.bsky.social)
On a sea of blue hexes, cardboard counters of red, blue, and yellow represent ships of war from the Napoleonic era. The lone Spanish megaship Santisima Trinidad is surrounded by red British ships and in deep trouble.

This is a boardgame.

British still have weather gauge on the Spanish but if Gravina turns then it’s going to “get a bit hot” 😅

We gamers tend to carry on a battle far past time to retreat just to “see what happens”. I blame real world Nelson for normalizing reckless audacity!

(I’ll make a video of the whole thing.)
mendicantgamer.bsky.social
I meant historically accurate Spanish, not British! The Spanish, historically, would probably have loved to stay entirely out of it.

At the real battle, the British had no qualms about wrecking everything in range. 😑
