Proud to have secured $540 million for the Legal Services Corporation in the Commerce, Justice, and Science appropriations bill—this Administration wanted to eliminate it completely.

One of my four-legged constituents went missing right before the holidays, please keep an eye out for this furry friend!

Nurses dedicate more time to patient care than anyone else in our hospitals. They deserve more than scraps while hospital CEOs make millions!

I'll continue standing with the New York State Nurses Association until they get the contract they deserve.

That's why I am introducing a bill that would hold DHS law enforcement to the same standards that other local and federal law enforcement agents already follow when interacting with citizens and would return the rule of law to our communities. (3/3)

DHS agents should not get to act first and ask questions later. They are not above the law or the United States Constitution. (2/3)

What's happening in Minneapolis is only the latest example of the terror & lawlessness that this DHS has brought to our communities. Agents, dressed for war, have violated the rights of innocent people, including American citizens, who have been "kicked, dragged & detained for days"—& killed. (1/3)
More Than 170 U.S. Citizens Have Been Held by Immigration Agents. They’ve Been Kicked, Dragged and Detained for Days.
The government does not track how often immigration agents grab citizens. So ProPublica did. Our tally — almost certainly incomplete — includes people who were held for days without a lawyer. And near...

I joined 70+ colleagues urging Secretary Kennedy to immediately restore this funding, and I’m glad to see @newyorkstateag.bsky.social standing up for communities like Queens. (2/2)

Children and families are once again caught up in the Administration’s political games. This funding freeze has nothing to do with fraud in New York State. It’s punishing the families and small businesses who rely on childcare the most. (1/2)

I hear from constituents like Christine all the time — utility bills are too damn high!

Democrats have a plan to lower energy bills and hold utility companies accountable for rate hikes. It's time for Republicans to work with us. Enough is enough.

It’s inspiring to see how our local schools are giving young students the strong foundation they need to thrive for years to come. A special thank you to Chancellor Samuels for inviting me to this important event. (2/2)

Early childhood education lays the groundwork for lifelong success. I visited Mosaic Pre-K Center in Corona where I met with education leaders to discuss how the school’s hands-on learning environment is helping young students build that foundation right here in our community. (1/2)
