Hello, Blue Sky!

My name is Dr. Jared, & I've been gardening since I was 5 years old.

I'm now a professor of horticulture at
@sfasu.bsky.social.

My wife, daughter, and I live at Ephemera Farm (seen here in April), a living lab to practice naturalistic planting in the deep south
I agree on the mistflower. C. greggii isn’t that bad and it’s a pollinator magnet.

I can’t stand Prunus caroliniana. They seed under everything.
Thanks! I hate we didn’t cross paths!
Why is the dust so bad this year? Dry in the west?

What were your issues? Viridis is a weed for us here in Texas.

Gary Smith did some cool art with bundles years ago. I think of broomsedge.
I love the verticality of the first shot
Congrats!

It’s fun to watch the numbers grow and have meaningful interactions with readers.
Me too.

Often it is due to red/far red effects on height from shading.

But, there are other factors that can influence it.

I usually look at other trays around for more clues.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The sun has set on 2024 and risen on 2025.

I'm looking forward to all the great things that 2025 has in store.

Happy New Year!

I love them. Sadly, few do well in the low chilling hours of Texas.
I love Penstemon murrayanus!
