If a project needs neighborhood level representation on the ST board to be prioritized, maybe, just maybe, it shouldn’t be prioritized…
We're done, but not before Mosqueda drops another reference to 2026 being the year that there's West Seattle representation on the ST board. She did bring Rob Saka up for that part, FYI.

My Rad bike is great, but this is unacceptable:
“Rad Power Bikes Inc., of Seattle, Washington has refused to agree to an acceptable recall. Given its financial situation, Rad Power Bikes has indicated to CPSC that it is unable to offer replacement batteries or refunds to all consumers.”
Wow this is bad.

It looks like @seattledot.bsky.social recently upgraded the barrier between the bike lane and parking lane on Union St to a curb (from flex posts). This would be a great addition to all parking protected bike lanes as many drivers overestimate the width of their vehicles.

It was great talking with people about the lights- everyone agreed they are needed ASAP. I set up my camera to match what the human eye can see. How many people do you see in this picture?

This project is a huge improvement for the tens of thousands of people that use Rainier Ave everyday. Unfortunately, the new bus lane is probably lonely. Perhaps we should build it a friend on the southbound side of Rainier Ave? After all, routes 7, 9, 48 and 106 travel both north and south.
We're rolling out the red carpet along Rainier Ave S for the 12,000 daily riders on King County Metro's popular Route 7. This Seattle Transit Measure-funded project connects people to key businesses, parks, schools, amenities, and community hubs throughout South Seattle.

Nine of the ten most productive Metro routes run primarily in Seattle. However, Metro’s most productive route, the A Line, operates entirely outside Seattle.

It may have been a mistake, but that doesn’t mean we can’t fix it now. Crossing gates, repurposing lanes, and raised crossing will go a long way in reducing collisions like this one.
Hope everyone is okay.

Surface running light rail in the Rainier Valley was a shortsighted mistake that we pay for in injuries and delays.
Columbia City and Othello stations are closed until further notice due to a collision.

1 Line service to and from both stations is suspended. Trains are still running from Lynnwood to Mount Baker, and from Rainier Beach to Angle Lake.
