To be fair I wouldn’t be shocked if this was Yamaoka’s decision. Dude’s lost a lot of his early works luster as of late and given things like SH2r’s development (which he was a part of) and Masahiro Ito’s general transphobia over on this isn’t anything surprising tbh
The original Let It Die was famous for its absolutely amazing soundtrack. Akira Yamaoka went and got in touch with a HUNDRED of his favourite indie bands and commissioned each to do a track named 'let it die'. The result was borderline mystical.
