Is Reign of Fire a Kaiju movie?
My deep dive into Kaiju/Daikaiju media has dropped me into the Nemesis series and holy damn those are cool books. I will be sad when I finish it because I think it'll be a long time before a Kaiju series exists, let alone it being as good.

It has been an extremely difficult set of weeks self worth and depression wise. So when I tell you I barely held it together when a regular walked in and handed me this saying "Hey man, I saw this and thought of you." Hit me like a low speed car crash.

I've been watching a huge year long Daikaiju marathon and I'm toying with the idea of doing a tier list at the end of the year for all of them. Is that presumptuous?

Week #1 of 2025 update. Nothing finish in books or games, and I didn't watch any movies so I won't even share that one. But I did manage to read every day!

My wrap up for 2024. Might sneak a couple of games in there on New Years Day, but this is likely it.
A LOT has changed for me this year in regard to board games. I have shifted from upper middle weight Euros to mostly smaller card and quicker games.

I hope to raise a tiny human that's my superior in every way. Smarter, happier, healthier... But it makes me feel a good kind of way that it brings him so much joy to steal my hat, and even more to adjust it so it fits him makes him so happy.

Our November plays. We struggled to get stuff to the table until I proposed a folding table in the nursery so our son could play while we do. I have good ideas some times.

Astro Bot has awoken a NEED for simple high quality games again. Don't get me wrong, I still love me some JRPGs, rogue likes, ect... But that game was just so good. Might try bouncing back to Kirby to see if it scratches that itch.

Instead of spooky stuffs this year I read Walden for the first time in a long time. My old man would quote out of it and with his passing this year I wanted to hear his voice in my mind just to reinforce it and it's making me remember the little things he did that impacted my life so much.
