There's many more starter friendly TTRPGs out there! Loads of indie games out there that you can find which are even simpler.

The people that use Generative AI for any sort of creative work are almost always only profit driven. They lack no basis in skill and passion for the hobby to take the time to learn what makes it tick.

Because of the slop, it's hard to have advancements in the TTRPG scene even stand out.

You can in Metanoia Engine. And if you can't, I'll make sure you can!

Easily achievable with dice rolls and quantifiable numbers and base values, then fluctuating based on market trends and supply/demand. Most TTRPGs have a lot of these mechanics as a basis in other parts to put together to make it
I wonder how to simulate the stock market in a TTRPG

Disney's pretty strict with their IP's to be used for anything like a TTRPG. Hopefully if they ever see it as worthwhile, someone would be able to make a good Tron TTRPG.

In the meantime, there's definitely a good amount of unofficial Tron TTRPGs or Tron-Like TTRPGs out there.

Such an awesome design concept for a speedster.

Dashing and dodging while moving to Gear Level 5 and traveling as fast as possible to keep that mobility up, and using that speed in unconventional ways to win all conflicts.

This is inspiring me to make my own speedster in a Metanoia Engine game!!

If you're having trouble with AI and NFT's in the TTRPG space, please use this blocklist, it helps a lot.

Shoutout to @dicefunctional.bsky.social, they create a large majority of the lists you see here on Bluesky. They carry a bunch.

And thank you to @skeletonbeam.bsky.social who alerted me to it!
Are you following the blocklist? Some still slip through from time to time, but it gets rid of A LOT. bsky.app/profile/did:...

Knowing the people that do it, not really.

It's mainly just people trying to maximise profit and have no care about what they make. Money is the only motivator for these soulless bastards who already have more than enough.

Support your indie TTRPG creators that don't use AI.

I'm genuinely so sick of opening up Bluesky and other platforms and seeing another AI generated art account post about the game they played or something, or they've followed me.

Can I have posts that actually mean something from real people who value TTRPGs?

Blocking isn't working enough.

Can we stop platforming TTRPG creators and people that use generative AI? We gotta kill this from the community.

It's gotta go. Now.
January 11, 2026 at 9:12 AM
AI ruins so many TTRPG projects, I'm thankful that the community does a good job at not funding them.

Those AI projects really destroy and hide those who try to release high quality projects without AI. It kills Indie Dev greatly :(

I'll add 20 books to your bookshelf one day... Forgive me...

Can always play into this and make the real dungeon begin from derailing.

Learning to outplay your players for a more intriguing experience creates such a fun time when they feel like they're the reason for the high risk and reward.
January 11, 2026 at 8:05 AM
Discord doesn't realise by bringing in AI that the TTRPG community will just move to another platform as it has time and time again.

Someone will make something TTRPG-centric with discord-like features and most people here would use it instead, even if it's worse.

Such a silly move by Discord.

I calculated the cost of this currently for mine and its roughly around 12k 😭

Better than a lot of rates in the industry for a 1.4k page TTRPG!

👋
man............ i want more ttrpg games...
January 11, 2026 at 7:51 AM
I'll be real with you, it happens, and it's hard, but it's not as common as you think. It becomes esp. hard when it's someone you're close with.

What makes it hard is trying to stand out and be different in a large wave where people only want things that are at the very least vaguely familiar imo.

Hey, It's Friday on this side of the planet. We want to start something in the #TTRPG community. We'll be asking some questions often and if people like it, we'll ask more!

The first one, what are you most proud of that you've done in TTRPGs?

Looking forward to hearing your answers!

Not a homebrew-specific question, but we were wondering...

What homebrew have you made that you are most proud of?

Dear Fantasy Grounds VTT social media rep.

Thank you for liking our post.

Now, to pressing matters... When will you add support for our TTRPG!!!!!

We are waiting.

Steve Dee of @tinstargames.bsky.social was an inspiration to Metanoia Engine for the brief time we had in knowing them. He had a heart of gold and his words inspired me to keep going with this game.

Metanoia Engine sends warmth to his loved ones who lost such a great person.

Rest in Peace, Steve.

I'm really glad for you that there's more tools out there in comparison to how it used to be! I only started TTRPGs over a decade ago. We didn't really hear or have access to them, and I wish we did!!!

Google Autosheets are some of my favourite discoveries that I've stumbled upon for tools.

D&DBeyond unfortunately doesn't support the games I want to host, so I wonder if it's possible to use java or some sort of plugin to get your own custom character sheets integrated into Roll20...

Maybe something I'll look into later down the line.
January 3, 2026 at 4:31 PM
My modules a simple one-shot that lasts for 1-3 hours, but has 200 pages for all the possible outcomes.

It's good to have a group that can give constructive criticism! It's the best way to start with GMing any game. Eventually, you'll find your own groove to what works best for you.
January 3, 2026 at 4:29 PM
...

This is mainly due to my own personal GMing style being more open-world sandboxes than overarching stories and worlds built around that.

Makes it hard to have a short module 😭
January 3, 2026 at 4:14 PM
It all sounds interesting! A bit different in process to mine, but that's due to my style.

I never managed to get a handle on Roll20 and most VTT's, only Fantasy Grounds. How do you manage to use it?

Normally, for me, I start with the small details and work my way up to the big ones...
