For the 1st book it was our agent who gave us feedback before the pitch went on submission. So lucky that both our agent and editor are on the same wavelength as us. When they say they’ve got to love a book to take it on, that’s why: they can’t edit as effectively if they don’t really click with it.

Still making the art for the 1st Wilomina graphic novel + already writing the synopsis for Book 2. Just got the notes back from our editor, so we’re on draft 2. Loving the input, it’s great to have a third pair of eyes to highlight bits that can be improved and it’s really strengthening the story.

When you work for yourself, you have to troubleshoot your own IT with no training.

Yes! We managed to troubleshoot our PC not enrolling to ESU. The PC was seen as a commercial device because there was email addresses associated with it that had been set up by schools when we did Teams workshops. We deleted those and it made our PC eligible. Just enrolled it to the Windows 10 ESU!

Question for tech folk:
Our old PC doesn’t have the option to enrol to ESU to extend the life of Windows 10 updates (when we go to Windows/Settings/Updates&Security). We just enrolled our laptop to ESU and both devices share the same One Drive. Any idea why and how to get the PC to enrol? HELP!

The irony is that we bought a brand-new PC last week with Windows 11 because of the whole Window 10 shenanigans.
it’s just that we don’t have time right now to set it up because of our book deadlines. Anyway, we can continue using the old PC until our deadlines are past.

This has worked on our laptop, but our PC doesn’t seem to have this option. We assume it’s because it’s too old but then looking into it further, it looks like ANY computer should be able to enroll into ESU, so need to look into it further.

Great news! We just extended Windows 10 on our laptop for another year. The Windows 10 security update is now free and our laptop was eligible. Our PC on the other hand was too old and doesn’t have this option, it turns out (but we bought a new one last week)
