every time i am forced to remember that pokemon is now a premium brand with absurdly expensive collector items and luxury products intended for adults i think some of my brain leaks out of my ears

just 1 more run to cinnabar for kabutops remains! and then i have to quickly reset a RB file a couple times for 2 charmanders and grind some levels. will decide what to do about pinsir/scyther at the end. and then the mew glitch

i have not been feeling well at all so i’ve been chipping away at a gen 1 living dex in yellow for fun. i’ve completed the gen 1 dex before but i used gen 2 tradebacks… this time i wanted to do it all in gen 1. i’m closing in on being done but i need to do 2 more runs to cinnabar for fossils

just remembered that xmas morning my mom had been gushing to my aunt about BMF and how i know people from all over the world online in pokemon communities, and my aunt responded to none of it and asked if i was monetizing it. i hate the idea that everything has to be done for money. i was so annoyed

i’m not going to name specific websites because it’s really not that serious but is anyone else kind of weirded out by how corporate a lot of shiny hunting counter and living dex tracker tools are? i always feel like they’re about to start selling me something. maybe i’m too put off by modern design

i'll have to repost my pikachu and mew sprites some other day because i forgot to make shiny versions at first and now they have them. if it wasn't clear i'm trying to make 32x32 sprites for every kanto pokemon, like mewheart's old set from the 2000s

okay, like i thought, it was something completely stupid and i was just having a total brainfart. i am not sure how i didn't notice that the button in question had TWO click listeners attached because i had an old version of this somewhere else. so it was adding + removing in quick succession. oops!
why, instead of adding the open class from the div with an id of sitemap (which has no class when the page is initially loaded), is this seemingly just adding an empty string class to the div? it's not like i haven't done this a million times before so i'm probably just having a total brainfart
