Hi, I'm Mia!

I do sincerely enjoy that this account is an unapologetically chaotic mix of serious (and non serious) programming, trans literature, and general other transposting.

with a load of cool AT dev peeps getting verified today, is it a good time to get back on my soapbox and get +1s for a trusted verifiers header like for labelers, so people can pick their own verification authorities.

I have some exciting news that I can share today. PDS MOOver's last update was made possible because of a generous grant from Bluesky PBC! Thanks to them supporting my work done on pdsmoover.com and selfhosted.social, it allowed me to go to the next level with fully automated backups!

it’s clear that I’m not going to hit my deadline of the end of next week for the project I’m working on (not least because it involves me writing 130k records to my PDS over like two weeks) but that’s fine because it means I can get on my soapbox:

shame I don’t post what field I’m in* to give an actually useful answer, but the short version is funny, so: accidentally and with good luck.

I’ve been poking around the sync-tool / nexus PR today and I think this is literally the perfect use case.
I need records, future and historic, of a handful of lexicon, and account data only from accounts that have used them.
I need to do backfill but I may end up just doing it locally and scp’ing the database to the server because I don’t think it’s that much data and I can’t be bothered to write proper backfill code tbqh

i don't dislike f1nn as much as some people on here but i would be very interested to see anne health's financials.

(it appeared, to me, that f1nn just funded and introduced some people so maybe they're catching more flack than they should idk)

one would hope that moderation discourse calms down once Bluesky stop doing PDS repo takedowns (apart from illegal content) and stick to labels so we can actually verify posts in context, but it won’t, will it.
