I obviously wasn't around for the Kent State shooting, but were people saying things like I STAND WITH THE SHOOTERS AT KENT STATE back then. Is society just completely broken?

I’ve been cleaning house and putting a baseball book or two every so often in a little free library near my apartment. Today, Clemente’s biography was there.
I like to think it’s from a secret baseball friend who has been scooping up my books and wanted to return the favor.
