Tonight’s movie on the big screen. Saw the 50th anniversary 70m at GFT. Have read more about that part of the war and a biography since then.

And somehow they never followed up the games. Portal 3, Half Life 3 would be/will be pan-galactic level sellers.

Better three 20s than 6 tens I think. Me and a couple of pals tried to work out how to divvy up a box but it didn't happen. This pre-internet/eBay of course.

Those boxes had 10 of each model? Even as a kid I recognised it wasn’t a very efficient way to build an army.

It’s very flexible. Gets some dusty models out of the back of the cupboard. You may have fondness for the minis and the fluff, but not the rules…

It won't be available to buy, but it will be available to rent - which will be their main mechanism to enter into an extractive relationship, as per journal publishers.

Lamborghini started by making tractors.

Yes. But if basing or figure height changes through the collection you have fewer options to accommodate it. Great British firm with excellent customer service.

RUBS are a very good solution. But! It's difficult to stack different sizes as -say- two smaller ones don't map to a larger one. And there are very few heights within each subset. Last year I made the switch to Eurocrates - which are more standardised and have 5-6 height options for each footprint.

This staunch Barbarian by Boris Woloszyn is sold by Knightmare Miniatures. An excellent sculpt and great opportunity to practice skin tones. I also tried my hand at a Tartan pattern. Just the metal parts and a few other bits missing. #wargaming #miniatures #miniaturepainting #warhammer

More wargames terrain going for sale - this time it's ruined buildings. Originally intended for WW2 in Italy, but always useful basically anywhere!

I quite like them. A gamer needs to accept that the rules are scaffolding on which you build the period flavour with options/choices etc. Without that it can feel quite generic. Good for multi player/big games. Also see Valour and Fortitude from the Perry website as a freebie.

You used to see them. Died out in 80's.

It's still remarkable how quickly their market share collapsed from almost all of it to almost none of it.
michaelharker.bsky.social
That looks great. Vignettes are a good addition to any table, but not helpful wrt getting-projects-done efficiency!
