For those of you that don't know me, I'm Michael, an artist who lives on a hillside in Wales and was diagnosed with #MECFS in 1997.

So pleased to have made it to this morning's #DrawingIsFree. I'm a bit of a zombie now, but am planning a quiet day or two.

To its right is an earthenware mug with an illustration of a speckled hen on its side. Behind the sketchbook and under the monitor are various pieces of small unidentifiable technology and some wires. In the sketchbook is what looks like a very rapid drawing of a bald man with a grey beard and a very square jaw. He is drawn in a mixture of oil pastels and a black and a purple pencil. The marks are fast and bold; the pastels have been put down in large areas of colour, their thick marks clearly visible and defining the shape of the man's beard, head and the black top he is wearing; the pencil marks are thin and rapid, picking out the man's features on the top of the blocks of pastel colours.
