I glance at my colleagues as the room continues to assimilate them. The process unstoppable, the mistake apocalyptic; yes, we perfected nanotechnology, but it can only repair what it knows, in the end. Instead of mending flesh, it claims it.

Hard to fit into a character limit. But I have always loved the idea of DISGUSTING mechs. Fluid filled cockpits. Permanent body ports for chemicals you get addicted to. Forgetting where you begin and the machine ends. Losing the ability to think like you used to. Etc 👀
[Spinal chord. Interwoven. Cranial examination. Reactivated.]

Hey y'all! I write body/cosmic/comedy/horror in general and I really like industrial horror of a hard to describe variety. Perhaps future. I like biomechanical, bleak landscapes. Think Scorn. Beksinski's works. Etc.
[Material responsive. Cranial activity. Under control.]

Slugs was filmed on location in my hometown and it's REAL weird to watch because I recognize every single location. There's even a scene in the restaurant I worked at in high school lol.

Always love an opportunity to spread this absurd comedy show that I am completely and totally normal about and definitely don't quote constantly

Shout each other out, especially if you "make it". I'm taking all my friends with me if I get lucky.

I have several WIPs but the one I'm paying most attention to is a gear change from my usual horror comedy. It is a grief horror about two brothers sorting through their recently deceased father's life while they contend with something ancient in Appalachia.

Depends on the story. Kyle fears and loathes being alone. Frank is just genuinely afraid of the crawling horror eating his chickens. Ted and Sam don't have fears per se; they have trouble letting go of their grief.
The masks my characters tend to wear are "I'm fine, really!" 🤣
This one is a little easier. No archetypes!

It's weird. Whenever I write I'm never thinking "what would a man/woman do?", I think, "What would this character do?" As such, I don't lean into or against masculinity/femininity. My idiots are what they are :D

Imma be real with you guys. I couldn't list all the archetypes to save my ass, let alone subvert them intentionally. I just write people 😅.
