I did in fact purchase a ticket to watch the Stranger Things finale in the theater. Unfortunately it's for Jan 1 in the afternoon so that means I'll have to impose a 24 hour social media blackout on myself. Probably the best Xmas gift I could give myself honestly.

Went shopping for some last-minute, inexpensive (lol) items for my daughter's Xmas stocking and it was crazy busy as expected but also people weren't rude or pushy, just seemed collectively disconnected. So I guess maybe I'm not the only going through the motions right now.

Got some routine maintenance on my car this weekend and was offered a "financing deal" with my debit card of 3 monthly, no-interest payments to cover the cost of new brakes, tire rotation and an oil change. The total cost was almost $600 so while I appreciate this as an option, it's bleak y'all.

The real scam was convincing a segment of the population that equality, fair wages, the wealthy paying taxes, access to healthcare, education, housing and food (i.e. basic needs) and now with this current administration, actual DEMOCRACY, is wait for it....just bad.
