I don't dream about anyone except myself. Full time frumious bandersnatch shunner. Jubjubb bird enthusiast. Absolutely cool for cats.
When I die make sure they put my Reddit comment karma score on the tombstone.

I'd something playing in the background and an advert popped up on stream. Thought my computer was speaking in tongues until I realised the advert was in Irish.

Blow, winds, and crack your cheeks! rage! blow!
You cataracts and hurricanoes, spout
Till you have drench'd our steeples, drown'd the cocks!

We ended up talking about separating the art from the artist in the pub last night. Thinking on it some more I feel my position lacked nuance on the difference between a piece of art as art and a piece of art as a commercial object.

I wish I gave enough of a shit about Star Trek to think about running it because the second edition of the Star Trek Adventures RPG looks very solid.

Belinda Carlisle mysteriously stuck in my head...Ooh baby do you know what that's worth?

I am ambivalent about the new live action He-Man. Skeletor does look awesome. youtu.be/ZmEx7wQI6RY?... Is the big robot Orko?

"Coalition of Content Creators" might be the most terminally online thing I've seen in a while.

"Colours of the End" was depressing, as expected.

Goodbye any plans to upgrade my PC. DRAM spiked 400% in the last four months and Crucial (who had ~25% market share) is pulling out of the consumer market. Another of the "benefits" brought to us by AI.

I wish the amount of vitriol there is over Custodes getting a few alternate female head sculpts was surprising.

I keep forgetting I lost a big pile of my RPG notes and then I think "Hmm might do some work on that campaign idea..." to discover "do some work" would effectively be start from scratch.

There is a woman working in the local deli who puts chicken into the roll the wrong way i.e. perpendicular to the length of the roll. It annoys me. But I'm worried if I say "Can you change the orientation of the chicken?" she'll think I'm a loon scared of being secretly fed gay chickens.

I thought I was doing ok at Opus Magnum. Then I foolishly checked online to see how people were doing.

The more trivial the use of AI the more questionable it seems.

Every few years I think "Now's the time to really get into Dwarf Fortress!" but it never sticks. I feel like DF has the same problem as games like Rimworld and such - they are much more fun to tell people about than they actually are to play.

Spent the last few days reading a novel I thought was finished. But I didn't realise that while it is indeed fully translated the last 70 or so chapters are behind a rather exorbitant paywall. I am a tad irritated.

Joseph Williams, lead singer of Toto (among other things) sung the Gummi Bears theme tune. youtu.be/77wNujaN0x8?...

Entering that period in reading a book where you're enjoying it but also getting very near the end so you futilely read slower.

Going to work hard this year to free myself from the insidious mental burden of having to have, and announce, an opinion on everything.

Sometimes I hear an old acquaintance has a kid now and it feels weird. But then I realise I haven't seen them in twenty years, in essence the person I'm thinking of is dead. So of course it'd be weird to hear a ghost has a kid.

If the news was honest the headline would be "EU yet again impotently tut tuts in the vague direction of Israel over the newest atrocity in their continuing program of genocide"

In Lidl the young woman in front of me at the checkout dropped an avocado. Un-noticed it rolled away. After a few seconds I said "Excuse me, I think you've dropped your avocado." For some reason I felt like a very special kind of pervert that said something terribly, but obscurely, lewd.

You know repeating to yourself as you reach for the biscuits "I'm not mental I CAN eat an odd number of biscuits!" is not very reassuring.
