The ending of Chapter 1 really put me off Where the Winds Meet. Think I might be done with it. It was an ok time waster but thats about it.

I was reading a manga, Rai Rai Rai, and it sort of pissed me off. Not because it was bad. But because it was just so, average. But in a really annoying way, where it was on the cusp of being great. But just didn't make it. Made for a weirdly annoying read.

The whole James Bond thing reminds me of when people write stupidly detailed explanations for super powers. Some things are just silly, that's fine. James Bond is a super-spy power fantasy. Don't explain anything, just have him be alive. Literally 99% of the viewing public won't give a shit about it

Got 2 hours sleep last night, likely because I knew I had to get up this morning to go clear my deceased aunts house out (ended up going into the chemists later unknowingly covered in dead spiders). But I've now drank so much caffeine in order not to go to sleep early that I just know I can't sleep.

I seem to recall really liking Heavenly Demon Chronicles when I first came across it years ago. But I clearly forgot how bad the artwork is.

Look, I get it's for story purposes. But the whole Batman beating Superman thing always seems to just ignore the fact that Superman is a genius. Guy built a fucking fortress by himself in the artic. It only ever really worked in The Dark Knight because of the narrative context.

Korean incels are a different breed. All the "controversy" over Chaos Zero Nightmare make me feel genuinely stupider when I read it. Referring to male characters having normal social interaction with female characters rather than the self insert character as "NTR" is stupefying.

Bought something of a guy on Paypal for 4 quid...didn't realise there was 4 quid in fees for sending the money. Doesn't feel like a good deal now. Worse, I could have got it for free elsewhere, it just would have taken longer. Ah well, a fool and his money, etc.

I am definitely (militantly) on the side of separating the art from the artist. But with that said people should stop interviewing David Gilmour and Roger Waters about how they hate each other. Vaguely related, that Bodycount "Comfortably Numb" is dogshit.
