We spent months under clouds and I was sad because the Seestar was getting dusty. Our last couple of nights have been pretty nice though, and it's been getting down into the 50's!
Okay, I went back out tonight with a clearer sky and the knowledge that I gained last night and took what I think is a much better picture of Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon).

I'm quite happy with this one.
For fuck's sake. I'm gonna get nightmares now.
I finally had the opportunity to take a few minutes at dusk and run down the road to a nearby field with an unobstructed western view to see if I could get a photo of Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon). This is an okay shot, but I might try again soon if I get the chance.
Had a bit of time before cloud cover rolled in tonight, so I grabbed a few shots of the moon and the Triangulum Galaxy. The Triangulum Galaxy is the third largest galaxy in our Local Group, after the Andromeda Galaxy and the Milky Way.
The only appropriate reply is HONK.
Anna removed the bill from a cheap baseball cap, and once paint was finished I used pop rivets and hot glue to secure the hat inside the Anna head shaped hole. It’s snug at first and kind of forms to her head after she wears it for a bit.
Into that hole I taped a 1” strip of cereal box, then used craft paper maché to secure that on both sides.
I have an “Anna head shape” from a previous project, made using a pair of cardboard calipers I made. I found the balance point by balancing the head on a scrap of wood, and cut the head shape out of a piece of cardboard at that spot, then used paper maché to secure the cardboard to the head.
I mentioned this in the alt-text, but if you want more info on the paper maché method I use, see the wonderful instructions at manningkrull.com/manningmakes..., who taught me everything I know about paper maché. @manningkrull.bsky.social is also an awfully nice guy that you should follow.

My lovely @chieflotsahair.bsky.social runs all three Wine and Dine races at Disney World every year and we tend to go a little overboard with the costume for the 5K. This year's 5K theme was Mushu's Breakfast, so her costume was Mushu (Mulan, 1998) wearing the Great Stone Dragon's head as a hat.
I have an S50, that’s mainly why I was curious. I’ve not seen one stacked in the Seestar that didn’t have star and/or comet trailing, and this looks great on both fronts.
I’m awfully curious of the process you used for this one, it looks fantastic.
The future of games is shitty point and click choose your own adventure videos?
Seconded.
Not that they'll see this but, any election campaign ads that have that "A.I." look will keep me from voting for whoever made them.
I don’t think it’s the only use case, just like 95%.
50% off Trivia Murder Party 3 would be sweet. Prepare to Die!🤞
I love this poster so much. I want to be a banjo toad.
That is such an amazing post it's difficult to believe it's not satire.
He’d have a Puerto Rican Crested Toad as a buddy! If you’ve seen some of the videos from his latest album you’ve seen the Sapo Concho.
When I first saw this I actually thought to myself “how vague, what in the world is she talking about” and it wasn’t long before I knew exactly what you were talking about.
We were in Davenport today right on highway 27, I heard the official count was 500+. Lots of support from passing cars. It was fun.
The kid attended his first protest today. #nokings
Is she wearing a prosthetic forehead?
