Erstwhile animator, graphic designer, and podcaster. Now the proud parent of two precocious children hell bent on ruling the world.
The Republican Party plan to kick out all the undocumented criminals who want to rape, murder and abuse us makes sense if you view it through the lens of a turf war. They can’t stand the competition.

It figures: East Siberia has better maternity care than the US. Three years without losing your job, and you get 40% pay for the first 18 months.

If you want to hear the complete list of countries Trump plans on bombing, there’s a great Animaniacs song I can recommend to you.

Got Machiko to start watching Queer Eye on a whim and she’s so happy. “Good-looking, intelligent, talented men and I don’t have to worry if they’re attracted to me? Perfect!”

Why, yes, I *did* have “Europe will impose sanctions on the U.S.” on my bingo card.

I, too, was once awarded a fake Nobel medallion from an actual laureate.

Mine was made of chocolate.

So Trump is *almost* up to my level.

Trump says that gunning down protestors for defying a tyrannical regime is a right so sacrosanct that he’s willing to go to war to protect it.

But defy his tyrannical regime and he’ll gun you down in the street.

So Apple is trying to do something clever with phone calls: it told me “you appear to be on hold” (I was). “I’ll let you know when they come back and tell you.” I sat there and watched the screen until the feature failed and they hung up on me.

If a foreign country saw us protesting Trump and decided to “help” us by bombing us, how do you think that would go?

100 years ago, we had the Monroe Doctrine, claiming that Europe shouldn’t try to control any countries in the western hemisphere.

200 years later, we now have the Dumbroe doctrine, which claims that Trump controls all countries in the western hemisphere and can take their stuff whenever he wants.

The Kennedy Center catches feelings when an artist exercises his capitalistic rights.

IMO, He should have gone with the freedom of religion angle. flip.it/MjfcdR

Pro tip to the Republicans: if you don’t want people to know it’s a crap bill, don’t put “crap” in the name. www.nbcnews.com/politics/con...

Now that I’m fifty, Instagram search suggestions have stopped trying to show me scantily clad women, and now only recommend things I thought were funny in my twenties. Finally! Stuff I’m actually interested in!

Way to be two-thousand-and-late, algorithm.

But, seriously, no women at all?

@greatesttrek.com OMG, I am finally caught up on TGG after six months straight.

Saw Colbert's audience applauding Sanae Takaichi, Japan's new PM. Sure, it's great she's a woman, but this is just identity politics.

"So she's an ultra-conservative, establishment politician who wants to vilify foreigners instead of helping regular people, but she's a woman, so shut up!"

@greatesttrek.com caught up on the pod up to ep 1 of Enterprise! Only took a year. Love every ep.

One question: after calling out the writers for Chakotay, you didn’t look up how to pronounce “Broken Bow” in the Five Civilized Tribes state? If it helps, there’s another town called “Broken Arrow”.

My wife made a joke this morning about thanking God for something, and my son said to her, "There's no such thing as God. Unless you're talking about the one in the sky? Above the clouds? Where Santa Claus and Black Santa live."

This is Japan. I have no idea where he heard about "Black Santa".

Big Turns Out(tm): iOS's AI-powered cleanup tool has an interesting bug: certain photos will cause it to offer to pixelate things rather than remove them. Which is a weird choice, when you think about it. If the content is censor-worthy, why wouldn't you also allow the option to just remove it?
