Big Turns Out(tm): iOS's AI-powered cleanup tool has an interesting bug: certain photos will cause it to offer to pixelate things rather than remove them. Which is a weird choice, when you think about it. If the content is censor-worthy, why wouldn't you also allow the option to just remove it?

Machiko recently explained to me the three fundamental rules that she tries to instill in her children in order for them to grow up to be happy, productive members of society. They sounded strangely familiar.

My credit card company is raising interest rates from 15% to 18% to address "inflation".
So…they get paid as a percentage, which means they make more money in direct proportion to rising prices. But now they get to make even *more* money to offset the costs of…making more money?

To print a shrunk-down photo on a system preset, I had to switch my printer language to English, app language to Japanese, both paper trays to “post card” and accepted the message that the size was STILL WRONG and everything after tnat was on me.
It printed perfectly.

Security, cost and corruption concerns aside, retrofitting the Qatar jet to be Airforce One would take longer than Trump's term, at which point they would have to DE-retrofit it before giving it to him ( sorry, his foundation). The retrofit alone would cost $1 billion. Insanity.
