#BirdOfTheDay is #oddcouples and honestly nothing I have is odder than this #heron and #stork. I can’t decide if the heron is selling dodgy watches or should be on a register somewhere… #birds #birding

#birds&berries today for #birdiftheday. First a winter Robin and second an Orange-crowned warbler (and possibly a seed-pod but I’m going for it)

People have been pointing out the Musk->Tessier-Ashpool parallel and it keeps getting stronger and in all the bad ways.

#birdOfTheDay has a #reflections theme so I give you a Pied-billed grebe and a Trcolored Heron. Both making me wish to be somewhere with nicer weather. Still water... #birds #birding

Not gulls in the water I can find in my collection so Alt theme it is! #shortLeggedBirds for today's #BirdOfTheDay #alt-theme #bird #birding. Out this morning with the dog so hedgerow birds shots on the lane – Common #Chaffinch, a #robin taking off, and a #Dunnock on the trunk of a fallen tree

Good Morning

Today's #BirdOfTheDay theme is #GullsInWater, any Gull in Water, the Alt theme is #ShortLeggedBirds.

I've chosen Black-headed Gulls, Great Black-backed Gulls & Herring Gulls for #GullsInWater and a Greenfinch for #ShortLeggedBirds.

Second #BirdOfTheDay post for with different theme for this one #ducks and conveniently I was out in the garden trying to get some nice pictures of snowdrops (light and wind not helping) - but the ducks kept me company - and a #snowdrop seeing as that is what I went out for

These kind of metrics are increasingly common - although in many situations misused by the statistically naive (means do not do well on skewed data, for example - MTTR I’m looking at you)

Going with today’s alternate theme for #BirdOfTheDay a Rock #dove high up on the Rock of Gibraltar #bird #birding

Today’s #tailup #BirdOfTheDay is this gray-headed swamphen which has a really characteristic behavior to flick up its tail to expose a patch of white feathers #bird #birding

#birdoftheday then is #singing and I’ve gone for a fairly extreme closeup of a #robin absolutely going for it #bird #birding

I couldn’t resist taking a snap of these two yesterday at the #EdwinBForsytheNationalWildlifeRefuge . I think they’re perfect for the #BirdOfTheDay theme #TwoOfAKind. My best ID is that they are #mallards , but please correct me if I’m mistaken. #photography #nature
