When I started working on my book, www.thedanishcomet.com , I started numbering my sources using three digits ... And I fully expected that to be a reasonable margin ... Today I just wrote some code to renumber all my sources to use 4 digits ... Currently I have 1033 registered sources 🤯

If I enjoyed my weekend? Oh yeah ... I went through every Danish Computerworld issue from 1980 til 1990 to identify any stories relating to the book in writing, and I managed to identify around 150 new articles/quotes ... This is exactly why this book keeps being done "next year" 😂

The past three months have been dedicated to working on my book, my goal was to be done with the writing by the end of 2025 ... which was totally unrealistic 😑 Looks like "spring 2026" will be a more realistic deadline: 40.615 words, 117 pages and 819 registered source!

Happy yuletide!

If you are concerned about privacy, security and reliability you might consider running a local LLM / AI! I just built this rig out of parts i had lying around and a local black-friday offer on Nvidia RTX 5060ti's with 16GB of memory each, it runs very well with models of up to 32billion parameters

This is a scam, it's well formed ... but there's still a lot of flaws that give it away!

If you are EVER in doubt, you CALL THE COMPANY BEFORE DOING ANYTHING!

If you have ANY suppliers that refuses you to take a phone call, dump them before you'll regret it!

We just picked up about 150kg of Danish magazines for our digitalization efforts at the Danish Data Historic Society, between carrying it down from from the third floor and driving four hours to get it and sorting it when we get home, I predict that I'll be sleeping good tonight 😅

The Danish Prime Minister lies when she uses the increasingly opposition to Israel and their genocide as supporting evidence for her claim that we hate jews ... This is not true, we hate genocide and those who supports (or does not do everything in their power to stop) it!

A few days ago a local metal workshop called me, they had a big industrial machine that was controlled by a dos-computer which had not, after about 30 years, given up.

He found me on YouTube and noticed that i also ran a consulting business, so he called me and asked if i could help!

Any of my followers in Copenhagen who can tell me if it's possible to get into the royal library by car today or the security around the eu summit are already too tight?

When teachings students to code back in the days one of the assignments would be to automate an intersection like this, could be controlled by any 8bit microcomputer usually using Comal-80 as the programming language.

There will be a tiny chapter in my book about these educational-kits :-)
