A few days ago a local metal workshop called me, they had a big industrial machine that was controlled by a dos-computer which had not, after about 30 years, given up.

He found me on YouTube and noticed that i also ran a consulting business, so he called me and asked if i could help!

Still working on my book, current progress: 36.582 words, 110 pages and 701 registered sources, i enjoy both the writing and the research process ... but I've started looking forward to be done with it for now 😅

When teachings students to code back in the days one of the assignments would be to automate an intersection like this, could be controlled by any 8bit microcomputer usually using Comal-80 as the programming language.

There will be a tiny chapter in my book about these educational-kits :-)

I needed a picture of this beautifull old transistor radio for my book, tried to find one online i could purchase the rights to, but instead i found a guy selling one ... so now i made by own picture of it :-)

Yesterday's roadtrip to the estate of a recently deceased engineer gave me 17 new documents for my book which I spent today preserving and registering, we also found a pile of physical printed stocks which I decided to turn into a nice photography for my book 😅

This 5.25" floppy has been stored with a 3.5" floppy for about thirty years which left an imprint on the large floppy's sleeve 😊
