noncon terrifies and upsets me, but as someone with her own trauma i understand feeling the need to work through it by facing it down with your art.

artistic censorship hurts -- and something that gets missed out here is that communities are more than effective at self-policing!

There’s like this consistent tragic irony being an adult artist where your creative processing of trauma is consistently punished by censorship and puritanical social torment, meanwhile the people who enacted the horrors onto you in the first place get to continue on unbothered.
