i think eyes and posture/pose/clothing do a lot of heavy lifting for handsome aura in furry designs that are more realistic animals imo so good areas to focus on besides practicing drawing animals haha

okay! i think the mouth can stretch farther back to look more lizard like, and eye a lil lower. here's a quick sketch of a more lizard like head as well
also not sure if you're familiar with muck nagabe, they're a great jp furry artist who also draws scalies (reptile furries) that can be a good ref

Oh what's this..!? looking at komodo dragons now (diff type of monitor lizard than the vid) and WOW THEYRE SO CUTE.. the headshape is definitely way diff... could be another good insp hmm... (they kinda remind me of hippos😭)
