I think one thing I want people outside of Minnesota, particularly the metro, is that life does still go on and the way. And that is probably the most unsettling thing about it all. You still have to get groceries, go to work. But at any time you could hear, honking and whistling.

Story from the sidewalks of the Uptown area over the last several days: despite terrible ICE problems, a remarkable increase in pedestrian activity, scooter riders who stop to ask if you need water or hand warmers, strangers asking if you want a thermos of hot cocoa.

It’s kinda hard to explain just how much *nothing* else matters right now in the Twin Cities. People are still going out and watching sports to try to recover, sure. But I literally do not know what else is going on nationally in the news besides a few headlines.
