Last year, 314 casualties from these bombs were registered worldwide, of which 193 were Ukrainians. This is stated in the annual report of the CMC – Cluster Munition Coalition.

While progress is being made, the CMM Report reveals alarming setbacks:
#Lithuania became the first country ever to withdraw from the Convention
#ClusterMunitions continue to be used in conflicts in Myanmar, Russia, Syria, and Ukraine.
#Civilians continue to pay the highest price.

👉 The 2025 Report shows that the Convention on Cluster Munitions is making a real difference. In 2024 alone, States Parties cleared more cluster munition remnants than they did in the previous five years.

This is what humanitarian progress looks like: safe ground for civilians and their futures.

How happy to see the Marshall Islands joining the Mine Ban Treaty 🇲🇭​

The last countries to accede to the treaty were the State of Palestine and Sri Lanka both in 2017.
