When you're animating a run cycle and the perfect song comes on your playlist. This video is from a month ago, but I was animating a running sequence when this song came on.

Song BTW is 'Footsteps' from City Hunter.

Went to the railway this morning to do a survey of what damage has been done. Part of a tree has come down in the storm, but shouldn't take too long to clear away. A few other branch have landed on the ground eve track and they too will need to be cleared.
With luck we'll soon be back in business.

We were planning a meet up with another miniature railway club. But due to recent weather warnings it has been postponed. Guess are our railway will be closed for a while too. A shame but there it is.

I would guess possibly O-16.5mm or GN15 if a suitable chassis were sourced.

If they make this and have it fitted with DCC sound it would sound amazing. Especially with its two whistles. But then, nothing beats driving the real thing. ~ Casey.

Yes, she's 5 inch. Though on that day she was a visiting engine, brought down by one of our friends. We only see it on either AGMs or social meet ups. But yeah it's a smashing little engine. Nicely crafted too. ~ Corps.

The amount of times Lady Grange gets mistaken for Thomas. I swear, if I had a pound every time anyone compared her to Thomas I'd have enough to buy another engine.
In answer your question, no, Lady Grange was bought in this livery from her previous owner. ~ Casey.

Even the raised tracks have a few special engines out for display runs including miniature versions of Rocket, Lion and a few others. Some fine examples of miniature engineering. ~ Corps.

This weekend we have quite the number of visiting engines to our little railway to Celebrate 200 years of the modern railway. Even though we are a miniature railway, we don't want to miss out in taking part in the celebrations. Special trains will be departing from the station later today. ~ Cars.

Has it been 17 years already?! Wow!
And we must say, we look great in that group photo. Thank you again, Michael for writing about our adventures and to help share the passion of all things miniature railways. Here's to another 17 and hopefully many more happy years to come. ~ The MES Crew

The Miniature Railway Adventures turns 17 tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be long before we see the first animated episode. Thank you again to everyone who has supported the project and the series over the years. It means a lot to me.

Betty is out in steam on the track today, after a small period of rest from the summer workload. Lady Grange will follow shortly.
I'm told that we're going to be extra busy the rest of this year as Drumawhey is now closed for the rest of this year while undergoing repairs to one of its main bridges
minirailwaytas.bsky.social
Hey, thats looking really good, Michael. Which part of the railway is this? ~ Whitehouse.

It's funny when you go about wanting to prop build and you end up building a set. Ah well, at least it means more filming to take place this evening.
minirailwaytas.bsky.social
We've just heard from our friends at Drumawhey that due to severe corrosion, one of its main rail over river bridges has been deemed unsafe for anyone to cross. This will mean that the line will be closed for passengers for the duration of this year while repairs are being done. ~ Corps.

Sorry we haven't been posting much. We've had a lot of visitors lately at the railway that getting spare time to do social media stuff has become very limited.
hopefully when things calm down a notch we should be able to contribute with new updates from the railway. Till then. ~ Corps.

Oh awesome! We're definitely looking forward to seeing this taking shape. If you need any reference material, let us know.

So incase anyone didn't see my livestream last night. My next model project is to make a 1:76 scale version of my old miniature railway club using the Magnorail system to work the trains. Baseboard construction and route planning to start this weekend. Should be fun and a new miniature adventure.

Due to severe gales, the railway is closed till further notice. ~ Cars.

Looking through our archives has uncovered several new things we never knew about our little railway. At one point in time we had full covered coaches. Sadly we don't know who owned them or where they went after this photo was taken. I'll ask around sometime tomorrow. ~ Cars.

Well, we're back home from Wales and are very worn out.

We'll be back to see Casey and the railway tomorrow to see how things have been going and to catch up with the latest gossip.

Till then ❤️ ~ Jane

We're going to stay in Wales a bit longer and will be heading home this Friday. Thank you again to the people of the Talyllyn Railway for making the event very special for everyone.

"There truly is nothing quite like it!"

Al the best guys and see you soon. ~ Jane.

On Sunday we managed to get a brief moment with Michael, Kirsty and two NEW members of the Miniature Railway voice cast to have this photo taken next to MIKE the small engine from the Railway Series Books. Such great fun indeed. (2/3)

We had a great time at the Talyllyn Railway and what an event the Awdry Extravaganza was. We didn't see much of Michael during the event as he was busy helping out with the exhibits up and down the line. Still at least we got to see some really interesting items while there. (1/3)
minirailwaytas.bsky.social
Yeah, but we had other plans that we wanted to do before the event. We'll give you a buzz sometime during the week and we'll sort out a meet up.
Anyway, safe travels tomorrow and see you soon. ~ Jane.
