Keeping streets clear is critical to protect lives and property. Blocked streets & makeshift checkpoints are serious concerns for emergency responders as they can delay response times & restrict access. Neighbors have echoed the City’s public safety concerns about this. Let’s keep our streets open.

At a powerful Black History Month breakfast this week, the Minneapolis Black Employee Network honored Black leaders, was affirmed by a City Council resolution, and addressed rising ICE activity and its impact on our neighbors. Celebration and solidarity go hand in hand.

We're disappointed in the denial of a preliminary injunction to end Operation Metro Surge, but today's decision is just one step in the lawsuit. The City will continue to pursue the lawsuit to hold the Trump administration to account.

This is unacceptable. Violence and intimidation have no place in Minneapolis. We can disagree without putting people at risk. I’m relieved Rep. Omar is okay and appreciate MPD for responding quickly. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated in our city. www.cbsnews.com/news/rep-ilh...
