He is the biggest asshole but I love him so freakin much and he’s also photogenic as hell. #cats #pets #cute

It feels wasteful, but I love long showers and baths. It’s the one place where I feel like I can hide away from the world. I took so many long showers during my dissertation that I gave myself a skin rash. 😓 It feels like America is tryna get me there again.

Israel is committing genocide, a black man was found hanging from a tree in MS, and Jimmy Kimmel was fired after gov’t pressure for suggesting the man who killed famed asshole Charlie Kirk was right-leaning, wtf is even happening
miriamvishniac.bsky.social
You can recognize that violence is bad (and, yes, you DO need to say this in the US) without praising a racist, sexist, transphobic piece of shit who made the world that killed him. Fuck Charlie Kirk forever, and everything he stood for. Hope his family and the traumatized Utah students are ok.

There is no reason to vote for any Democrat who supports genocide in Gaza and the erasure of Jewish dissent. There is no reason to donate to general funds that support those who funded Trump’s cuts so Schumer could go on a book tour. There is no reason to support a party that hates Mamdani and Fateh

Hot take of the day: the Minecraft movie was fine. Why did so many people get upset? It was ridiculous and silly and weird, which it was meant to be. Also, the role Jason Momoa was born to play.

There are five instances I’ve found of sexual abuse through control over menstrual products from 2011-2021. Four had to be corroborated from personal testimony in news since lawyers lumped these items in with ‘contraband’ and ‘personal hygiene items.’ This makes it impossible to track.
prisonflowproject.bsky.social
Prison guards routinely use their power over menstrual products to sexually abuse women in their power. Yet attorneys routinely fail to call these items out by name in legal documents, essentially covering up sex-linked abuse. www.themarshallproject.org/2025/03/10/s...
Why Solitary Confinement Is a Safe Haven for Sexually Abusive Guards
After eight years in “the hole” at Texas’ Lane Murray Unit, Kwaneta Harris documents the “daily reality” of staff sexual exploitation and violence.

I just found out my friend Ahmed in Gaza lives in Gaza City. He does not want to evacuate. I am spending my day crying as I see how this may be one of the last days I speak to him.

I am sharing this so you see, this is one of millions. Every life there is affected by this. Every single life.

Every time an academic asks me to cite the complete lack of documentation showing menstrual products are a threat in prison, I want to bang my head against a wall.

Been meaning to do this forever but have honestly been scared. Starting a nonprofit is a huge amount of work. I’m almost 40, and I’m tired. But I don’t see anyone else championing this necessary work!
prisonflowproject.bsky.social
Finally making moves to establish The Prison Flow Project as a nonprofit supporting, among other things, research on menstruation in places of confinement and the voices of those directly affected. Hit me up if you have advice, pls!
