I decided to take some PTO from the Day Hustle™️ not related to performing and just work on things. Like overcome my executive dysfunction and install the new hardened steel hotend in the 3D printer, and updating the firmware. I also continued my re-watch of The Expanse.

I enjoyed home cooked birthday lasagna for the first time in 5 years Sunday night. It took ordering keto friendly noodles from Italy, but so worth it! This led to birthday lasagna for lunch and dinner the next day.

On jam 2, my first jam out, I bent the nail on my right index finger. It hurt then and my nail bed is still tender, but I played pivot most of the scrimmage, that’s not nothing, right? Even though the World lost, I completed 3 star passes and two of those resulted in scoring trips.

Afterwards, I picked up the tiara for #MadameDeVille to wear to skate prom on Saturday. Then I got ready for the @rainierrollerriot vs The World scrimmage.

The new skaters were working on crossovers, we were doing backwards crossovers. New skaters were doing transitions, we were doing that on one foot. Yes, we’re successful at one foot transitions but our forms left a lot to be desired. Mine were more than a 180° and less than a paragon of control.

Sunday morning was
practice as derby loving self, Miss Violet Neauregarde. Crash Smashem was our coach and she paired me off with Lab Brat. Everything she had the new skaters doing, she’d give us a more advanced version to work on.

It was a fine birthday weekend, but it’s over.

I started by getting my nails done on Saturday. Then I did a show for the Improv troupe that night. It was a birthday show. The birthday gent was celebrating his 76th birthday. By all accounts, they all had a great time and we made people laugh.

I had a lot fun last night with the improv troupe as we did our 1930s Hollywood who-dun-it! It was a nice mix of seasoned @themurdermysteryco.bsky.social performers and fresh faces. They all did such a fantastic job lost night!
