It's not like some of these big universities are going to close if they give into this extortion. And there are things they can do. Don't build that new luxury dorm. Cut a few administrators with their bloated salaries. Take a stand and maybe win back some alumni support.

Funny thing about the ultra-rich. You'd think that they have so much money that they could just ignore anyone criticizing them for being fascists, yet they would rather buy up all the media outlets that might offer a hint of criticism than allow their poor feelings to be hurt.

The police may be a despised minority, but they can easily shed that status by not being police. Imagine making lawyers or taxi drivers a protected class in terms of hate speech rules. This is madness.

I always found Scarlet Letter to be a problem, not because it's too hard, but because kids usually see it as an accurate portrayal of Puritans and don't appreciate it's 19th century-ness.
