If James Gunn doesn't want Pierce Brosnan back as Doctor Fate in Superman 2, that's fine. But at least let The Bros suit back up as a background extra. Let him mull about in crowd scenes wearing the gold helmet. Let him be metahuman set dressing. He'll entertain the crew at crafty between takes.

Stray thought from watching Hamnet: The only filmmaker who could succeed James Cameron in making Avatar films, if the world wanted more of those, is Chloé Zhao. The right chemistry.
