Ways We Should Consider Amending the Constitution When We Get out of This Mess

1. 18 year term limits for Supreme Court Justices

2. Additional requirements for presidential candidates, including upper age limit, no felony convictions, neuropsych eval, ability to pass background check…

My favorite part is that the President has said a threshold for being appointed Fed Chair is a willingness to cut rates, and now suddenly everyone he talks to says the Fed should cut rates. He interprets this as confirming the wisdom of his policy judgments.

A clip in which Karoline Leavitt demonstrates that she doesn’t know the meaning of the word “proven…”
Q: Does the White House have a response to a judge ordering the immediate release of Kilmar Ábrego García from ICE detention? Will you appeal?

LEAVITT: Absolutely. The White House opposes this activism from a judge. He is a proven human trafficker

This is not the way a market economy works. It is the way a system of state or kleptocratic capitalism works.
Warren: "The president says here's what he thinks should happen to CNN. If that doesn't make your hair stand up, I don't know what does. That's him saying, 'You've got to make a deal w/me. That might involve a $1m a dinner & buying crypto & getting rid of a pesky news outfit I don't like'"

This is probably the clearest indication yet that the administration understands what they’re doing in the Caribbean is illegal.

They’re now threatening the ICC with sanctions if they investigate Trump and his team.

I appreciate that @atrupar.com consistently stays on the health concerns when other media only mention it occasionally or ignore it completely. And I love that he penned this piece laying it all out in one place.

The new bandages raise flags. You don’t bandage a bruise or something minor for days.
New in PN: A band-aid on a festering hand wound

"The Epstein files and illegal boat strikes aren’t the only coverups taking place right now in the White House. There’s also something clearly wrong with the president’s health that the administration is trying to conceal from the public."

Something's up with Trump's health and we should really find out what it is.

This has been the plan since the outset, to make a Sovereign Wealth Fund AKA slush fund. I have yet to see anyone explain where the proceeds from the tariffs are going, and I suspect it’s the same place.
Trump says the Gold Card proceeds will go "an account where we can do things positive for the country. Many billions of dollars"

I feel like I know someone who would fit that description but I can’t quite put my finger on who it could be…
Comer: "One of the things I think President Trump has always been concerned about is there are people that have maybe been listed as someone who associated w/Epstein, they may have attended a party w/Epstein - the president was concerned the public would assume that person was guilty by association"

Just the Commander in Chief not getting involved in military strikes…
POLITICO: Do you believe the second strike was necessary?

TRUMP: Uhhhh. Well it looked like they were trying to turn back over the boat. But I don't get involved in that. That's up to them.

The reason we don’t sell H200, and other advanced chips to China is that they have dual-use (military and civilian) capability.

These will help China improve their AI, surveillance, and cyber espionage capability.

The export controls existed strictly for NatSec purposes.

He is the most obnoxious president in our nation’s history. A terrible president.

Would love to see her say, “If you can’t answer the question, just say that like a grown up.”

This man has no idea what’s going on. He’s completely detached from reality. And the press doesn’t report it that way because they assume he’s lying and they don’t bother to report even that because they’ve accepted that as normal.
Q: How quickly will this affect prices at the grocery store?

TRUMP: I think the prices are gonna be, ah, going down already. I mean, the prices are way down. We brought prices way down from what it was. We inherited high prices.
