It is difficult not to feel ... ragey... lately. Remember to pause, go out in nature and re-fill your cup. Can't fight fascists when our internal resources are depleted. Make sure to take care of you ❤️ It's part of saving the world - you're the world, the world is you.
This is something I have had to do myself a lot this week. And it does work. Even though it can be exhausting and hard work sometimes, it is useful advice. May you find your calm, my friends. 😊

May all beings be peaceful.
May all beings be happy.
The challenge with staying informed in the current climate is staying informed without allowing ourselves to get carried off by fear. Traditional news sources are designed to tweak our limbic system to keep us going back. Fear is also a tool used to control us. Stay informed. Not afraid.
If you, like me, are looking for sources of news that are meant to deliver information rather than stoke the fires of "us" vs "them," here are some that I've found and checked out that I have appreciated so far:

Ah yes, there's a reason I miss the Motherland.
This law should never have been invoked. The internment of Japanese Americans should never have happened. Internment like this should never happen again. War or not, targeting any one type of person to ship away or incarcerate is a dangerous mindset. Only steps away from another Holocaust.
I lived there for a handful of years, and I wish I could say this surprises me ... it doesn't. Glad you all are safe!
If you don't have this book. Order a HARD COPY now. Read it. Recognize that much of what happens in the book, is happening now in the U.S. Then, resist. With everything that is in you.
In today’s atmosphere, it’s obvious why a book warning of totalitarian censorship would be in the American Library Association’s list of most commonly challenged books
I just followed her - thank you for sharing! Just going through her past posts made me smile so much. Looking forward to more happy pups!!!

When you look at the list of institutions they want to defund: libraries, museums, the Smithsonian, public schools, PBS, NPR, archives, you can clearly see that the real threat to an authoritarian regime is an informed and educated public
Yesterday was our last day with this sweet, grumpy old brown bear we called Cooper. It all happened so unexpectedly, but we are glad we could help him make his transition into the next life. I'll look for you in the skies with the birds you wanted so badly to catch ❤️
Now that I posted this, I'd like to edit it to re-word the first line to: the beauty of impermanence is that it makes room for joy in dark places. I need an editor for my posts 🤣
The joy of impermanence is that it makes room for joy in dark places. It's the fireflies at midnight, it's the beauty of the hooting owl in obscured branches, it's finding love where the waters were once too muddied to perceive it.
