It’s genuinely wild that the United States spent decades building an elaborate rules-based international order which de facto cemented its permanent status as the dominant global hegemon, sustained by ideology rather than might, and now is just blowing it all up for literally no reason

These crazies have been working on this a long time and are moving toward their horrific goals. Their 'Manifest Destiny': colonizing Venezuela, Greenland, and Cuba and getting rid of public education-while they are at it.
7/ Peter Thiel ally Michael Gibson co-presented his talk about colonizing Greenland & Cuba with Nick Solheim of American Moment who wrote earlier today that: “This morning was filled with memes about Sec. Rubio running Venezuela—It’s actually happening.” x.com/nicksolheim/...

And there it is. Ed Martin is Trump’s pardon attorney. He’s friends with Roger Stone. Both were heavily involved with the so-called “Stop the Steal” campaign. 1/
Hours before Maduro’s first court appearance on federal criminal charges, a senior Justice Department official amplified a post speculating that the Venezuelan dictator would try to plead to lesser charges by proffering “evidence” that the 2020 U.S. election was stolen.

Big Oil spent nearly $100M to get Trump elected in 2024.

Now Trump is returning the favor, giving them advance notice of his Venezuela attack and sending their stocks skyrocketing by promising them control of the country's oil reserves.

This is what oligarchy looks like.

Trump’s real base of support — billionaires, Big Oil, Big Tech, crypto, defense contractors, & Wall Street — know that the midterms may limit what they and Trump can get away with moving forward.

2026 could be the last year they can cash in and loot the country.

Be warned.

my takeaway from this letter is that glenn youngkin, rector sheridan and their flunkies on the board are deeply dishonest people who are engaged, with the trump administration, in a mob-style shakedown against the university of virginia
Former UVA president Jim Ryan, who resigned over the summer due to pressure from the Trump Administration, just shared this 12-page letter with the Faculty Senate, detailing his experience with the Board of Visitors and DOJ.

It's a surreal--and troubling--read.
