I am leveling up the Thanksgiving cooking schedule (with a whole separate one for pie lmao)!

(Last year was more chaotic because I was learning how to do a gluten-free kitchen/menu, but we're old-hat at that now, so time to mobilized the cooks!)

I'm literally just living a normal life while also experiencing a theophany via communication with the satellite called VALIS.
Allyson, 29, a mother of two young children, said she turned to ChatGPT in March because she was lonely and felt unseen in her marriage. She was looking for guidance. She had an intuition that the A.I. chatbot might be able to channel communications with her subconscious or a higher plane, "like how Ouija boards work," she said. I *love* the torn one that just has "you don't have to accept this future" written in regular handwriting. That's what I keep repeating to anyone who will listen to me at my institution. We don't have to participate in reinforcing this one possible future; there are others we can imagine and make.

Yesterday my partner and I counted all the ads along Chicago's Brown Line for "Friend," a company selling an AI chatbot pendant, and tallied how many of those ads were defaced.

Still working on a longer piece on this, but here's the quick and dirty: we counted 104 "Friend" ads total, 42 defaced.

IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM A FRIEND
Phil Sherry @philsherry@mstdn.social @susankayequinn A mate of mine’s brother has a camera on his cat flap which identifies whether the cats are trying to bring dead animals into the house. If contraband is detected, the flap doesn’t open. Otherwise, they’re free to enter. No word on whether there’s an amnesty grave next to the door. But it definitely IDs the cats by name, so I’d say your chickens should be getting upgraded pretty soon. Cat flap images, as described it the conversation. Two images showing the face of a cat (Walter), perceived from a low angle, accompanied by notifications for "Contraband Detected." Walter clearly has a dead rodent is his mouth in both pictures, oh no. The image shows an activity feed from a monitoring app displaying entries and exits of pets named Jesse and Walter. It includes timestamps and statuses indicating whether entry or exit was allowed, along with small images of the pets. No dead rodents these times, so entrance is allowed.
