Need to take note of this #chemsky #compchemsky. For anyone in perovskites this GRC is a legend.

(Sadly, for me too so far. Did not manage to go and need to make a better effort this time! Thank you @jpcorreabaena.bsky.social and other organizers!)

Globally, roughly a third more power is being generated from the sun this spring than last. If this exponential rate of growth can continue, we will soon live in a very different world, @billmckibben.bsky.social writes.
4.6 Billion Years On, the Sun Is Having a Moment
In the past two years, without much notice, solar power has begun to truly transform the world’s energy system.

Yes, this happened. Chemistry is affected most badly, but also other departments. Most of the PIs that were laid off had active groups, were publishing, receiving grants, teaching, and doing everything else we are told to do to be seen as valuable members of the academic community /1

Just published: Our latest work on #in-situ PL monitoring during #halide #perovskite #growth with PLD.
The key advantage of in-situ PL? It enables growth studies at various deposition rates, achieving up to a 10-fold enhancement in deposition speed of MHP with PLD!
